What is the RiDC Panel?

RiDC is the leading expert in inclusive research with disabled and older people. Our aim is to connect the views and experiences of disabled and older people to those who make and run things.

Our panel is central to everything we do! When businesses and organisations come to us to carry out research for them, we ask our panel of over 4,000 disabled and older people to share their thoughts and experiences with us. We then give their feedback to these businesses and organisations so that they can make changes, or design their product or service, to be more accessible.

Why join the RiDC Panel?

Joining the RiDC Panel offers you a chance to:

  • Have your say and make your views and experiences count. The RiDC panel exists to amplify the voices of disabled and older people. When you take part in our research we let you know what your feedback has meant and, where we can, the tangible changes that have been made as a result.

  • Take part in interesting research about a variety of important topics. As a member of the panel, you could be involved in a wide range of research including surveys, focus groups, product testing and mystery shopping. We work with lots of different organisations and sectors including transport, technology, retail, health and wellbeing and many others.

  • Be rewarded for your contribution and time. Often, panel members who take part in our surveys are offered the chance to be entered into a prize draw for shopping vouchers. We also sometimes pay our panel members as a thank you for the time that they spend taking part in a research project. Panel members can choose how they receive this payment so there is no need to share any bank details.

Panel member, Masuma says:

"What I like about being on the RiDC panel is the idea that I can make a difference. Having the voice heard of disabled users, as a consumer or customer, in whatever shape or form. It’s something that I actually enjoy and I find it quite rewarding. Knowing that I have an input - telling an organisation how to be improved for example. It’s a positive experience. You get to offer the solution."

What does being an RiDC panel member involve?

Signing up to the panel is free and takes about 15 minutes. When you sign up, we'll ask a number of questions that allow us to match you to the most appropriate research opportunities. All your personal information is strictly confidential.

Once you have joined the panel, we will contact you with research opportunities that we think will be of interest to you. You can pick and choose the types of research that you want to take part in.
