What would accessible transport mean to you?

For our work with ncat (the National Centre for Accessible Transport) we asked this question to our 'Community for Accessible Transport' - a panel made up of disabled people, and those who work in transport and the disability sector.

Here we share some of their responses:

If you've found these responses interesting, there's another opportunity to get involved on the 25th of September 2024.

This time we are inviting disabled people across the country, to finish this sentence:

'If transport were accessible I could..'

We'd love you to get involved. Share on your social media profile what accessible transport would mean you could do in your daily (or not so daily) life.

We'd love to know so please do tag us on Facebook: @RiDCResearch and X (formally Twitter): RiDC_UK

One way you can actually contribute towards making transport more accessible in the UK is by being a member of the Community for Accessible Transport panel for ncat. You take part in research which gets fed back to policy makers, service providers and the companies and institutions that run them. Your voice really does make a difference! There's no obligation to take part if you don't want to but research can involve surveys, focus groups, user testing and even mystery shopping of transport services.
